Actually, there are almost none or very few symptoms appearing in the early stages of Thyroid Cancer.
The first sign of thyroid cancer appears as a lump or nodule in the neck.

Although, most of the nodules are caused by benign conditions, a small percentage of these nodules represent early stages of thyroid cancer.

The thyroid cancer keeps growing and spreads itself.
The symptoms at this stage of thyroid cancer are:

• Problems with swallowing

• Hoarseness

• Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck

• Breathing difficulty

• Pain in the throat and/or neck

• Persistent cough, without a cold or other illness

• Diarrhea may also occur due to the hormones that are secreted by medullary thyroid cancer cells.

As I have said earlier that a vast majority of the lumps and nodules are benign, therefore having these symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean that you have thyroid cancer. It is also possible that the above symptoms may appear due to an infection or some other medical condition, therefore if you have a lump in the neck or have the above symptoms, you better visit your doctor to determine the cause of your symptoms.
